ABOUT ASCENT VETERINARY HEALTH
Ascent Veterinary Health opened its service in 2020. We saw a need in Western North Carolina for large animal care and decided it was time to give that to the animals here, and to give peace of mind to their families. Since we opened, Ascent Vet Health has been providing great service to animals through routine wellness and 24hr ambulatory care. What sets us apart from the rest is our ability to customize our offerings to customers’ needs and by providing forethought for the health of the patients under our care. We also strive to give each of our patients the respect they deserve when they are being handled to help their experience with us and to keep ourselves and their owners safer.

SPORTS MEDICINE
We provide consultation and diagnostics for a wide rage of lameness and performance limitations. From moving evaluations, radiology, endoscopy, and joint injections to prepurchase exams.
DENTAL SERVICES
Our practitioners are very experienced in Equine dental health and disease. From routine exams and floating services to radiographs and extractions. Dental health is critical to the life of a horse.
HEALTH AND WELLNESS
The core of our business is built around preventative health. Annual examinations, vaccinations and preventative medicine are critical to the lives of our patients. We strive to provide timely service to prevent potential health issues.
Emergency Services
We provide 24/7 emergency services to our established clientele. From colics, chokes and lacerations in horses to birthing difficulty and injuries in farm animals, we provide the best service we can in an ambulatory setting.
Cattle Services
We provide regular herd health work such as pregnancy diagnosis via ultrasound, vaccination planning, treatment protocols, and management consulting. We also provide treatment for sick and lame cattle as well as field surgery as needed.
Small scale farm service
We can provide vaccinations, health consults and basic management plans for small and beginning farmers and homesteaders. We are happy to help you understand the challenges your animals may face and formulate a plan to prevent disease and treat as necessary.
